Specialist Training

Advance Care Training provides a range of training courses in the health and social care sector. Our mandatory courses are designed to ensure compliance and meet CQC requirements. All courses will cover current trends and laws and best practice to ensure all staff understand their duty of care. Our specialist courses are delivered to provide staff with the required level of knowledge and understanding to meet individual’s unique needs, as well as those working in specialist roles. All training is delivered by occupationally competent and skilled tutors who have a wealth of experience and qualifications in the Health and Social Care sector. All our courses can be tailored to specific organisational requirements and include a range of activities to link learning into practice. The aim is to upskill staff and broaden their knowledge and understanding All courses can be delivered inhouse or at our own training venue in New Basford, Nottingham. We offer flexible timings and bespoke training to meet organisational needs. All courses are delivered over 3 hours, unless otherwise stated. Prices start from £200 +VAT. Our specialist courses can be linked to our AEB qualifications which gives opportunities for learners to achieve specialist qualifications too

This course will identify possible causes of autism and autistic spectrum conditions. It looks different characteristics of autism and the Triad of Impairments. We consider how sensory difficulties and behaviour impacts on an individual and devise plans for using different approaches and techniques when working with people who have autism.

Understand Epilepsy

An interesting and interactive course looking at the different types of epilepsy using the ILEA Classification system. It helps staff to identify signs and triggers of seizures and participate in an interactive session on the different types and presentation of seizures. Different treatments of epilepsy are considered, alongside First Aid and practice of the recovery position.
